Joie's Toy ~ OverKill Mascot

UPDATE: Aug. 2007

Since the original build was stupid fast, we have replaced the engine with a 22hp Kohler motor from Route 6x6.  It is much nicer to drive and ride in.  Joie will be learning to drive it this winter!  More pix coming soon.  We had to re-fabricate the back "lid" for the new motor.

We started with a 1970 st/300 Attex. It was in good working
order until we wrecked it last summer. Hit a culvert and bent the
frame. The body was busted up already.  That's how it started.
My original plan was to use the JLO 297 and trans.  We came across a good deal on a running 570 Yamaha Excider snowmobile. The motor was 75HP in stock form.  We added a stinger pipe and K&N filters bringing it up another 10. I bought a T-20 from route 6x6, and it kind of snowballed from there.  We have had it out a few times and it is stupid fast. I'm going to have to change the gears to take some of the speed out of it and make it more trail friendly.
It will eventually get a paint job to match OverKill's Jeep!
